Your journey begins as you arrive at Bagdogra Airport, the gateway to Bhutan. Meet our representative and start your drive towards Jaigaon, the last Indian town before Bhutan. After crossing the border, complete your permit formalities at Phuentsholing.
Once done, check into your hotel and take it slow for the rest of the day. This is your first introduction to Bhutan’s calm pace and clean surroundings.

After breakfast, begin one of the most beautiful drives of the trip towards Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. The road winds through dense forests, waterfalls, and mountain landscapes, giving you a true feel of Bhutan’s untouched beauty.
En route, stop at Chuzom Bridge to witness the confluence of rivers. Upon reaching Thimphu, visit Simply Bhutan, a cultural museum that offers a glimpse into traditional Bhutanese life. If time permits, explore local markets or take a walk through the peaceful city streets.

Start your day with a visit to the iconic Buddha Dordenma statue overlooking the Thimphu valley. From here, continue your journey to Punakha via the stunning Dochula Pass.
At the pass, take a break to soak in panoramic Himalayan views and see the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens. As you descend into Punakha, the climate becomes warmer and the landscapes more lush.
Visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of two rivers, followed by a walk across the long suspension bridge, which offers beautiful valley views.

Today is the highlight of your Bhutan trip. After breakfast, head to the base point of the Tiger’s Nest trek.
The hike takes you through pine forests with continuous views of the valley. After a steady climb of 2–4 hours, you’ll reach the Taktsang Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliffside.
Spend time exploring this spiritual site, soaking in the views, and experiencing the calm that defines Bhutan. Descend back to Paro by evening.

After breakfast, begin your return journey back to India. Drive towards Phuentsholing, complete exit formalities, and continue to Siliguri.
It’s a long but scenic drive, giving you one last chance to take in Bhutan’s landscapes before re-entering India. Check into your hotel in Siliguri and rest for the night.

What is the “Without Travel” option?
Choosing “Without Travel” all the travel arrangements for your entire itinerary must be self-managed From getting to the start point, local transfers, and the return journey. Please note that Plan the Unplanned crew will not be responsible for your travel, means of transport, and any transfers involved . We recommend driving your own car for the full duration of the trip for maximum flexibility.
I’m travelling solo. Can I still join?
Absolutely. Our trips are designed keeping solo travellers in mind. You’ll join an easy-going group and usually leave with new friends.
Are your trips safe for women?
On all of our trips, safety is non-negotiable and our priority. Female outdoor leaders accompany every group. We assure you that the homestays/tent accommodations are secure. In addition to this, we guarantee separate sleeping arrangements for men and women.
If I miss the departure, can I postpone my booking?
Yes. You can reschedule to any future date of the same trip for a ₹1,500 per-person change fee. Email [email protected] and our team will get in touch with you.

Can I leave my extra luggage at the accommodation?
Yes, you can store your main bags at the accommodation and carry only your essentials on the trip.
What kind of fitness is required for your treks?
Most of our treks are beginner-friendly and designed for people with moderate fitness levels. However, some treks may involve challenging terrains or long durations. Please check the difficulty level mentioned on each trip page and ensure you’re prepared accordingly.
What’s your cancellation and refund policy?

Chimi Lhakhang Disclaimer: The temple features explicit fertility symbols and artwork. Families traveling with children may choose to skip this visit if uncomfortable.
Departure Time: Group departs for Phuentsholing by 12:00 PM from the pick-up point. Please ensure your flight to Bagdogra arrives well in advance.
Age Limit: Group departures are open to travelers aged 16 to 42 years due to the active nature of the itinerary. Customized trips are available for those outside this age range.
Triple Sharing Policy: In triple-sharing rooms, an extra mattress will be provided for the third occupant.
